The selection opens with the infectious disco-house flavours of Groove Assasin and Jamie Lewis before moving through a rich combination of soulful vocals, deep house cuts and carefully chosen remixes. Michael Gray & Barbara Tucker, Joi Cardwell, Rochelle Jordan, Dawn Tallman and Tasha LaRae bring plenty of vocal character, while reinterpretations from Julius Papp, Ron Trent, Kai Alce, Spen and Jihad Muhammad add depth and a distinctly underground touch.
As the journey develops, the mood becomes deeper and more intimate, leading into Jihad Muhammad’s R U Going With Me and finally two takes on Byron Stingily’s Miss My Love — including the DJ Spen remix — bringing the session to a soulful close.
This is not about leaving the summer behind. It’s about taking the groove with you.
Warm, deep, soulful and built for the transition into the new season.
